Our next meeting will be next Tuesday, May 13. We’ll be providing
dinner, so come as early as 6:30 to eat with us. Please email tamar@tamargranor.com if you’ll
be eating, so we buy enough.
Our speaker this month is Kevin Goff:
Kevin S. Goff (http://www.kevinsgoff.net)
has been a Microsoft MVP since 2005. He is a Database
architect/developer/speaker/author and has been writing magazine
articles and books for 10 years. He speaks regularly at
community events in the Mid-Atlantic region, and is a regular speaker for the
SQL Live!360 commercial conference brand
The topic is “T-SQL for Application Developers: attendees
choose.”
That's right, attendees choose! I'll show 25 possible topics
on the screen, and the attendees vote at the beginning on which topics I'll
cover.
Everything from isolation levels to ranking...everything
from GUIDs to table-valued functions....everything from querying temporal data
to instances where subqueries are necessary....everything from update triggers
to reading execution plans...everything from cumulative totals to uses for
UNPIVOT....and more!
You'll walk away with over 25 code samples, even though
we'll only cover a portion of them in the presentation. This has always been a
very popular session.
